  • A heartfelt tribute to the soul of India. Through this theme, we seek to celebrate the true essence of Bharat, expressed through the diverse and timeless traditions that have flourished across the length and breadth of the nation.

Crescendo 2026 – To ensure fair and inclusive participation this year, we have continuing with zonal rounds, allowing participants to compete within their respective zones.

Winners from each zone will then advance to the grand finale, where they will showcase their talents on a unified stage. All events at the finale will be conducted in-person, ensuring an engaging and dynamic experience for everyone.

How to conduct

Recommended

  • The rules of Prelims may be the same as Crescendo events. However, specific topics can be decided by the school heads.
  • Preliminary rounds for the selection of students will be held at the school level.
  • No extra marks will be allotted for costumes/props, unless specified in criteria.
  • The school will be the deciding body and will have the sole discretion on the selection of students to be sent for Crescendo 2026.
  • Suggested mode of conduct: house competitions or class competitions: Every house may divide the students in the four categories of Crescendo i.e. Maestros, Trendsetters, Legends, and Elites.
  • All events will be conducted in school premises only.

Prelims advisory

Helpful

  • House Masters/ Class Teachers/ Coordinators can discuss at the School level to ensure maximum participation and fair selection.
  • The selected participants must be registered for Crescendo main events latest by 13 April, 2026.
  • Schools are requested to send across the summary and snapshots of the preliminary rounds.
  • School Headships are requested to supervise preliminary rounds minutely to ensure the best of talents at Schools get opportunity; ideally, inter-house selection process will work very effectively to identify participants for representing the School.

Summary

  • A tie may happen when two or more teams are judged and receive the same score
  • In case of a tie, both (or more) teams will be awarded the same points
    For example, two teams land up at the 1st position. Both will get 20 points each; then, there will be NO 2nd position. The next best team shall receive 3rd position points, i.e. 10 points.

Tie during a specific competition between students: +
  • If there is a tie at the 1st Position, both the students would get the points allocated for the first position.
  • The Runners up will get the points allocated for the 3rd Position.
  • No child gets the points allocated for the 2nd Position.
  • If there are 3 students at tie for the 1st Position, all 3 will get the points allocated for the 1st Position, and no other participant will get any points for Runners-up Position.
Tie during the overall championship between the schools+
  • If there is a tie for the 1st Position, both the schools will be awarded the Overall Champions.
  • The runners up award will be skipped; the school at the 3rd Position will be awarded the 2nd Runners-up.
  • If there is a tie at the 2nd Position, both the schools will be awarded as the Runners up. The award for the 2nd Runners-up will be skipped. The school at the 4th Position will be awarded as the 3rd Runners-up same.
  • The same pattern will be followed if there is a tie at further position spots and the Overall Championship will be restricted to only 5 Schools unless there is a tie at the 4th Runners-up Position.

Result Announcement

The Prize distribution will take place in-person at Lucknow on 2nd May, 2026. Schools are requested to make the travel arrangements of the winners accordingly after the results are announced.

The following winners will be awarded in Crescendo 2026:

    • Overall Champions
    • Runners-Up, 2nd Runners-Up, 3rd Runners-Up, 4th Runners-Up, 5 to 10 Category Winners
    • 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place winners will receive medals for distribution at School during special assembly for Crescendo

Zonal Round

Rules

  • Students would need to be attired in School Uniform for all the events, unless specified otherwise.
  • Students must not reveal their names or campus details strictly to avoid biased judgment.
  • School leaders to ensure background, clothing, words, or any other indication must not reveal campus name or student name to judges at any time.
  • Unless specified otherwise, all the events will be conducted in the school premises only at the suggested time.
Grand Finale +
  • Only pre-registered and School-approved participants will be part of the school contingent allowed for the grand finale.
  • The participating contingent will be required to arrive at the designated time.
  • In case the final round of the event is at the finale, the shortlisted participant must travel to Lucknow; no substitutions allowed at any time.
  • Each participant must arrive at their designated event venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the particular event finale to record attendance.
  • Participants for debate, quiz, dance and music should arrive an hour early.
  • School representatives will assume full responsibility for the participating students, their baggage and general supervision.
  • School students will be attired in School Uniform and must have i-cards on them at all times; representatives are expected to be attired professionally and must have i-cards on them at all times.
  • Students and representatives are expected to maintain excellent conduct, discipline and sportsperson spirit at all times.
Travel and Stay during the Grand Finale

  • Students from outside of Lucknow and nearby areas will be put up at a Seth M. R. Jaipuria School campus; travel to the designated stay venue to be arranged by individual Schools.
  • Participating contingents are advised to refrain from carrying any expensive gadgets or fragile stuff.
  • School representatives would be nominated by School Headship and travel schedule would be shared ahead of time with the Organizing Committee.
  • School representatives would adhere to ensure controlling discipline and decorum at all times, including but not limited to running personal errands, taking students out of designated areas without permission or sharing of information.
  • Tobacco and alcohol carrying and consumption, is strictly prohibited.
  • Students must conduct themselves appropriately as a ‘Seth M. R. Jaipuria Schools’ representative.
Others +
  • Students must be in the school uniform (unless specified otherwise). All the events will be conducted in the school premises only.
  • Only the winners of the events and the top Eight* finalists of the live events from across all zones must travel to Lucknow for the finals.
  • They must travel to Lucknow for the competition’s finale to perform and receive prizes. Lucknow will be the only location where the results will be decided.
  • All the School Headships are requested to conduct a fair and impartial competition, subject to permissions that may be required.
  • Competitions will be conducted at the said time at school or Zoom & one member from CO will coordinate for the same.
  • Schedule will be shared for the same from CO side.
  • Sufficient care and thought must be exercised in the choice of entry for Crescendo for all the categories and events. The entries must be age and context appropriate. No profanity, sexually explicit or implicit lyrics/ moves/ gestures/ writing/ drawing will be accepted.
  • Reference or mention of inebriation, drug use, or intoxication will not be allowed.
  • The entries must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
  • Any technical or network related issue will not be the responsibility of the Organizing Committee.
  • Judges may call upon verifying student entries in case found unfair. For example, If the Art entries from School appear to not have been made by a participant, Judges reserve the right to call forward the student for a re-do in the presence of appointed supervisors to ensure fairness.
  • Schools shall adhere to the time limit of each competition. Any video entry exceeding the time limit will not be considered for judgement under any circumstances.
  • Organisers will advise on modus operandi for upload of participant videos ahead of time. Under all circumstances, the judges’ decision will be final and binding.
  • In case a school has not registered for an event in the first place, no marks will be deducted for non-participation.
  • No substitution for absenteeism will be considered/entertained.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the rights to take punitive actions against absenteeism or unfair means, if found.
  • Each student can participate in a maximum of 2 events, in the same category.

Video and Zoom Events Entries will be judged online for both video and non-video events.
Debate Format Debate will be conducted live for all zones, all categories on an online platform. The selected winners will participate at the finale.
Quiz Competition For the quiz competition, all participants will travel to the finale venue, where both the preliminary and final rounds will be conducted on-site. This ensures a fair, competitive, and immersive experience, bringing together the brightest minds to compete on a common platform.
Zoom Meeting Requirements To attend the Zoom meeting, students must use a laptop with a working camera.
Mobile Login Mobile login is not permitted.
Internet Connection The school should ensure a good internet connection
Disqualification Clause In the case of a camera/internet failure, the participation will be disqualified.
Collaborative Participation Students from all four categories can collaborate in the same room using a single laptop.
Home Participation If a student is joining from home, the school should ensure necessary resources, such as a laptop and internet connection.
Travel to Finale To compete for the live events, the finalists must travel to Lucknow.
In-Person Attendance Participants who will not be able to travel/reach at the time of in-person finale, will be automatically disqualified.
Final Decision Under all circumstances, the judges’ decision will be final and binding

Qualification: Schools will compete within their zones first. Zonal scores will not be counted in the finale.

  • For example, if two teams secure 1st place, both will receive 20 points each, and there will be no 2nd place. The next best team will receive 3rd place points.

  • To attend the Zoom meeting, students must use a laptop with a working camera.

  • Mobile login is not permitted.

  • The school should ensure a good internet connection.

  • In the case of a camera/internet failure, the participation will be disqualified.

  • Any technical or network related issue will not be the responsibility of the Organising Committee.
  • Judges may call upon verifying student entries in case found unfair. For example, If the Art entries from School appear to not have been made by a participant, Judges reserve the right to call forward the student for a re-do in the presence of appointed supervisors to ensure fairness.
  • Schools shall adhere to the time limit of each competition. Any video entry exceeding the time limit will not be considered for judgement under any circumstances.
  • Organisers will advise on modus operandi for upload of participant videos ahead of time. Under all circumstances, the judges’ decision will be final and binding.
  • In case a school has not registered for an event in the first place, no marks will be deducted for non-participation.
  • No substitution for absenteeism will be considered/entertained.
  • The Organising Committee reserves the rights to take punitive actions against absenteeism or unfair means, if found.
  • Each student can participate in a maximum of 2 events, in the same category.
