Editors Note May Issue

Dear Readers,

Summer is heating up the vacations and it is getting worse day by day.

Your kids must have joined a summer camp or must be engaged in some outdoor activity.

Please note that hot, dry weather can be extremely dangerous. Because sweat evaporates very quickly in such conditions, your child won’t feel sweaty, and neither you nor your child may realize how much water he or she has lost and there is a likelihood of getting dehydrated.Summer heat can quickly become a child’s greatest foe. After more than an hour of exercise in the heat, start drinking a sports drink that will replenish the electrolytes kids may be losing as they sweat, but consider diluting it with water to cut down on calories.

Heat is something that everyone needs to be aware of; before you go out, think about how long you’re going to be outside and prepare for it. You don’t need to be afraid of the heat, but you need to be aware of it and take necessary precautions.

Stay safe during this summer.
