Editors Note December Issue

Dear Readers

December is the time to celebrate and be jolly. The month brings to us the widely celebrated festival of Christmas, and the turn of the month brings us to a brand new year. Christmas is a time for giving, and as we reach out to family and friends. I have always believed that the message of Jesus is one of hope and joy. I hope we’ll also open our hearts to those who are lonely and in need, citizens less fortunate than ourselves, brave soldiers working to preserve peace in our country. Indeed, from snowflakes to choirs, the spirit of Christmas is a joy for everyone.

The New Year is an exciting time for everyone. It is a time to reflect on the year gone by, and start making plans for the coming year. Resolutions are important, and obviously, difficult to keep! This year, I encourage you to do simpler things. How about celebrating the positive on a more regular basis? Make sure to smile more, and saying thank you more often. Open a door for someone and lend a helping hand where you can. Appreciate the small things. Train your mind to see the positive in any situation. Read more often. Pick up a sport, start running. Eat healthy. Spend time with your loved ones. Live your life to the fullest, don’t merely let the clock tick-by. Remember, happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.

As we get all set to welcome 2017, I am tempted to say the clichéd – year gone by was a rollercoaster ride- but, with so much happening around the world- new educational policies in our country, demonetization and digitalization, Brexit, change of guard in the US of A, among many, many things, the year gone by would surely be a landmark year, but, the forthcoming year would be a joyride such as one never before. Hope for the best, and more power to everyone.

For us, Seth M.R. Jaipuria Schools, I am ecstatic to say that the year gone-by was blessed! Around 10,000 students are studying at 10 schools presently, and we are gearing up for five more schools to come up for session start in April 2017. Very exciting times! We thank all our well-wishers who have helped us make this happen. Keep sending your blessing and love for our schools and students, teachers, staff- as always.

I wish you, our readers, a blessed and bountiful year — and that your resolutions hold true. Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year, folks.
